On the 18th of February Refl-act attended The Good Fashion Show at Goodenough College and organised by the Ethical Fashion Forum.
THE DESIGNERS:
It was a great opportunity showcase some of the latest fashion designers who support sustainable and ethical fashion such as silk-loving Anne Wiggings London, fun and quirky Who Made Your Pants?, smart eye-wear by Colin Leslie or sleek Emesha.
THE CLOTHES:
Although we would’ve wished that it could have been clearer for the attendees which pieces were part of the which designer’s collection, we thought the event was brilliantly organised!
We found that most of the designs ticked most of the current biggest trends on the catwalks such as frilly and swift dresses, exotic prints, lace, and many versions of sexy but wearable LBDs. We thought it was great that both male and female fashion was showcased at the same time as it means it was interesting for everyone to watch!
THE MODELS:
It was definitely a step forward that the models on the catwalk looked like real people. All gorgeous of course, but we saw many sizes of girls and boys, and it was really refreshing to see people in a catwalk who don’t look like they’re in critical need of a sandwich.
We hope that there will be many more to come!

Our current project is a documentary on sustainable lifestyles. It investigates whether this lifestyle choice can be affordable, accessible and desirable for everyone, and youth in particular. We will be focusing on the fashion, food and entertainment industries.
We will be interviewing experts, speaking to young Londoners, attending sustainable events and, most of all, having fun weaving stories together.

Entrevistaremos a expertos, hablaremos con la gente joven de Londres y asistiremos a eventos que apoyen la sostenibilidad y sobre todo nos divertiremos entrelazando todas las historias.

Nous sommes un réseau d’individus dediqués à utiliser des outils créatifs pour inspirer des initiatives positives.
Actuellement nous sommes en train de developper un documentaire sur les modes de vie soutenables. Notre documentaire va investiguer si l’élection de porter un mode de vie soutenable peut être abordable, accessible et attirant. Nous nous concentrerons sur les industries de la mode, l’alimentation et les loisirs.
Nous interrogerons des experts, nous parlerons avec la jeunesse londonienne et nous assiterons à des événements qui réafirment le devéloppement soutenable, mais surtout nous amuserons en entrecroissant toutes les histories.
